Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of assignments associated with system administration, include monitoring, controlling and troubleshooting server/network infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, office365, analyzing system faults and running diagnostic tests
  • Answering, prioritizing, and responding to incoming tickets and email requests for assistance from internal users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking and other IT-related technologies
  • Research, design, plan and coordinate infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, improvements and /or newly required service deployments
  • Manage the proactive detection and resolution of problems to reduce reoccurrence of incidents
  • Design, installation, configuration management and maintenance of IT services on premise and in cloud
  • Administration and support of VoIP call centre technology
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Business continuity planning, implementation and testing
  • Implement IT systems and policies that comply with PHIPA compliance and enable transparent reporting of compliance related information
  • Create IT technical resources manuals for standard operating procedures
  • Install Windows desktops, peripheral, network hardware without supervision
  • Hardware, software purchase and inventory tracking
  • Submit warranty claims for defective products

Education & Experience

  • Computer Science or related degree and 3+ years experience in internal IT support/System administrator


  • 3+ years experience as a Systems Administrator in a network/server environment
  • 2+ years experience with Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong knowledge of configure, monitor and troubleshoot the firewall and network.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure
  • Excellent knowledge of supporting Microsoft platforms: Office365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams
  • Flexible working hours and shift change (day – night) for any system change after business hours.
  • Experience in ERP system support is an asset
  • MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, ITIL certification would be an asset
  • Be familiar with ticketing, help desk and front/second line support protocols and have the ability to train and support on these systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage time
  • Provide 24×7 emergency support to handle urgent escalations.
  • Thorough knowledge of production material supply chain as well as inventory management principles
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Available to travel to company locations within the GTA
  • Must pass an RCMP security clearance

Physical Demands

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to be able to lift up to and including 50lbs, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time and reach with arms/hands. Walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items is occasionally required.

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to packaged cannabis products/supplies. The working environment can be noisy at times and temperate, the employee must have knowledge of how to manage their own personal safety under these conditions.
